Our crew is at the heart of every Shine event. We’re looking for dynamic, dependable people who love working as part of a team, take initiative and thrive in the energy of live events.
Applications are accepted year-round. Our primary recruitment period is September–October.
Could This Be You?
You might be a great fit for the Shine Crew if you:
Are a strong team player who is happy to jump in wherever needed
Are a self-starter who notices what needs to be done
Have excellent attention to detail
Communicate clearly and professionally
Stay positive and adaptable when plans change
Thrive in a fast-paced live-event environment
Care about creating a welcoming experience for dancers, teachers, families and fellow crew members
Are available for most Shine events during the season
Are available for the full event day, rather than individual shifts
Dance experience? Great—but not required.
A background in dance or the performing arts is an asset, but it isn’t essential. We’re equally interested in people with strong experience in events, hospitality, customer service, youth programming or other fast-paced team environments.

We welcome applications from people who live outside the Lower Mainland.
Applicants are responsible for getting themselves to the required Lower Mainland meeting/departure location and for arranging local accommodation between events when needed.
When crew members are travelling with the Shine team for an event, Shine provides accommodations, transportation, and meals while on the road.

Expect early mornings, busy days, problem-solving on the fly, lots of teamwork—and a season full of memorable moments with a pretty great group of people.
One important thing before you apply...
Our crew works together throughout the season, so applicants must be available for MOST Shine events.
Crew members are also expected to be available for the entire event day. These are not shift-based positions.
