WHAT IS THE SHINE DANCER OF THE YEAR?
The Shine Dancer of the Year award recognizes a Top 10 dancer who represents the heart of Shine: learning, integrity, and community.
This award is not based on talent alone. It recognizes a dancer who shows strong character, a positive attitude, respect for others, and a genuine commitment to growth — both on and off the stage.
To be eligible, dancers must:
Have placed in the Top 10 Soloists at a 2026 Shine regional event
Complete an online application here
Attend the TOP 10 Intensive
The recipient will earn the coveted title
SHINE DANCER OF THE YEAR and:
A $500 scholarship
A mentor session with Shine Founder & Director, Tamara Thompson Levi
A feature on Shine Social Media & Website
