By night, the spotlight hits the stage with a high-energy gala performance featuring the most memorable routines of our 2025 season, special guest performances from local dance companies and pre-professionals, and the SHINE Awards—honouring the leaders shaping dance in BC.
The night wraps with an exclusive VIP Meet & Greet, where dance pros, educators, and rising stars come together to celebrate, connect, and, of course, dance it out.

SHINE workshops offer an exciting opportunity for dancers to grow, connect, and shine on their dance journey. Open to anyone eager to learn and explore through movement, these workshops focus on helping dancers build confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Led by a faculty deeply committed to holistic youth development, participants will sharpen their technique and artistry while gaining valuable life skills. Yes! You can register for and attend the SHINE 20th Anniversary workshops and/or gala night with or without your studio. You do not need to attend a 2025 Shine Dance Festival event. Everyone is welcome.

We will be offering one contemporary class, one hip-hop class as well as a session focused on dancer wellness at each level.

At Shine, we know that teachers can have an enormous influence on your children. That is why we select every member of our team based on integrity, professionalism, and their commitment to creating healthy dance experiences for youth. Our faculty are leaders in the dance industry who are passionate bout dance education for youth of all ages and abilities.
We always have one Shine Crew member assisting our faculty and require our staff to complete a vulnerable sector check. -
We warmly welcome any dancer who can participate independently in a large group class setting and is open to new learning experiences.
**DANCERS SHOULD REGISTER ACCORDING TO ABILITY RATHER THAN AGE.
NOVICE: Novice dancers can execute an assortment of foundational dance movements including a single pirouette and a variety of basic leaps and jumps.
COMPETITIVE: COMPETITIVE: Competitive dancers can execute a wide variety of intermediate to advanced dance movements including a solid double pirouette, russians/jete to second, and can learn choreography at a moderate pace.
ELITE: Elite dancers can execute an extensive range of dance movements with control and artistic expression including triple pirouettes, fouette turns, and switch leaps, and learn choreography at an accelerated pace.
TEACHER: Dance Educators of all ages and disciplines are welcome at our teacher sessions.
**If either the dancer or our team feels they’ve been registered at the wrong level, adjustments may be made before or at the event. -
If you would like to participate in DANCER classes you must register as a DANCER. TEACHERS will be permitted to participate in TEACHER classes and to observe DANCER classes.

We are committed to providing a nurturing learning environment free of distractions for youth. Parents are not permitted to observe classes, but registered teachers will be. Our trained Shine assistants will be available in each class to provide dancer support and to open the door to offer parents a sneak peek for the last few minutes of each class.

Our SHINE Wellness-First Policy offers refunds for withdrawals for medical reasons with supporting medical documentation.
Withdrawals for non-medical reasons are non-refundable but ARE transferable (as long as it’s the same type of purchase) until June 15, 2025.
