WELCOME TO ✨SHINE✨

⋆We unite and empower dancers with life-changing values through dance.⋆

Supporting the whole dancer — on and off the stage.

Dancers deserve a competition experience that supports their growth, honours their wellbeing, and celebrates who they are on and off the stage. For 21 years, Shine has been raising the standard for dance competitions with an experience designed to support dancers, teachers, and families. Through thoughtful scheduling, professional standards, meaningful recognition, and a deeper commitment to wellbeing, we create events where dancers can grow, perform, and feel celebrated for who they are — on and off the stage.

What Makes Shine Different

Free admission to keep the experience accessible for families.
Thoughtful scheduling designed with dancers, families, and teachers in mind.
Honest scoring and meaningful awards that recognize more than just great dancing.
Studio-blind adjudication so scores reflect the dancing, not the studio name.
Community-focused awards presentations that celebrate dancers and bring studios together.

As a dance adjudicator of over 25 years I can honestly say that Shine Dance Festival is one of my favorite companies to work for. Tamara and her entire staff take such pride in running a family event that fosters a caring, supportive environment for the dancers, dance teachers, choreographers, and studio owners. Having had access to what goes on behind the scenes, I am always so proud to say that I work for a company that values the highest level of integrity.

Shine is not only a dance competition but it's a community. Tamara and her team not only run an event that dancers love, they also create a space that is about more than just winning an award.
